VT Real Estate License Process and Information

To become a licensed Salesperson in Vermont a person must satisfy all of the following:

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Complete salesperson pre-licensing course
• Pass the national and state examinations required by the Commission within the two years immediately preceding application
• Become associated with a brokerage firm and that firm’s principal broker
• Is not precluded from licensure pursuant to 3 V.S.A. §129a; and (f) meets other requirements mandated by law
